
In June, Cube’s Creative Director and Art Director, Mārcis Miķelsons teamed up with DDB Latvia copywriter, Raimonds Platacis at the world’s most prestigious advertising industry festival, the 'Cannes Lions' and won a bronze award in the 'Young Lions' Cyber category. Young advertising professionals from around the world under the age of 28 participate in the Young Lions competition by winning a knockout competition in their home countries. The boys won the Cannes award in the face of competition from winning teams representing 28 countries whose task was to develop an interactive ad within 24 hours for the Unicef Tap project which collects money to supply children with drinking water in developing countries.
This is the first year where Latvian advertising professionals have brought home awards from the world’s most prestigious advertising festival leading their category ahead of the major advertising nations.
