European hit radio was about to turn a page in their digital presence and build a new app and website that reflects the lifestyle of their featured musicians and popular culture around them. Along with that, EHR was introducing lots of new features - more radio streams on digital media, personalized and engaging content, interactions with tracks like "buy", "see lyrics", "watch music video" etc.
We started off by getting insight into future vision from EHR CEO and the dedicated project team. We discovered our audience are youngsters thirsty for information and with low attention span, so we set our goals for this redesign accordingly. We needed content to be easy to overview and we needed to build engaging radio player.
We started to work on first layout prototypes with rich visual content and bold titles. The player bar took few iterations to make it really responsive. It is connected to EHR playlist catalogue, which sorts information of song title, artist, audio clip, lyrics, links to Spotify and Apple Music and music video from Youtube. Its all aggregated in the webpage, and each artist has their profile, displaying all related news and all songs played on EHR. Features like Spotify integration enhances radio experience and ensures continuity to people listening habits.
This project marks beginning of a partnership between EHR and CUBE, and we are continuing to improve the webpage and app.
