Promoting the use of the state e-address

Services

With the aim of ensuring active use of the e-address by all legal entities in Latvia, the State Chancellery organized an innovation sprint bringing together the State Regional Development Agency (VDAA), the Enterprise Register, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM). Our task was to help identify the reasons for the service's low adoption rate to date and to generate ideas for improvements.

At the start of the sprint, the e-address was mandatory for all legal entities, yet fewer than half were actually using it. It was crucial to gather data and understand the reasons behind this low usage. Engaging entrepreneurs played a vital role in the process—both in identifying obstacles through interviews and in testing prototype ideas. As a result, prototypes for improvements were created and tested; their implementation is now merely a matter of time.
